How often do you see the bride come down the aisle on horseback? For East Troy Bride Kandi, she wouldn’t have it any other way. It was on Christmas Eve 2016 that Dan knelt down next to her horse, Amigo, and pulled of a surprise proposal that brought her to tears. Built on the foundation of a 20 year friendship, it was clear that the love between these two was one for the ages.
Dan & Kandi couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful September day, surrounded by loved ones on their family farm. Kandi’s delicate lace dress from David’s Bridal looked beautiful with her spunky blue boots. Underneath Dan’s Cowboy hat and shades were kind eyes and a warm smile. Highlights of this intimate celebration included a pig roast from Dine with a Swine catering, a very funny T-Shirt, and a loving first dance to Chris Stapleton’s More of You.
Kandi’s advice to other brides is to not stress over too much. For her special day it was important to have a list of photographs she wanted and to have fun. The consultation session was a great step for this couple in establishing a strong connection with me. They knew any questions they had along the way would be answered quickly and thoroughly. Kandi said “[Kara] showed up exactly on time and immediately started shooting! She got so many different angles, we hardly knew she was there at all. We were lucky to find Kara and would absolutely recommend her to others!”
A precious part of my job is being invited into people’s families and having their trust to capture moments that are truly special. Being on the ranch with Kandi and Dan was as sweet and fun as their flower cupcake desserts. I would love to get to know what makes you and your fiancé unique.
