Jhalia and I met at the studio in Waukesha for her senior portrait session. The weather outside was snowy and cold, as it usually is in January in Wisconsin, which is why it’s nice to have the studio as an option for portraits — most of what you see in my portfolio will be outdoor images, but I love being able to explore more patterns, color and texture with backdrops in the studio.
I loved Jhalia’s fashion sense and how different each of her outfits were. As a photographer, I love when my clients bring a variety of looks to their session! She also brought her Tae Kwon Do uniform and black belt along – so of course, we had to do an “Xtreme Sports” style image to celebrate her passion for Tae Kwon Do and the incredible achievement of becoming a black belt.
You’ll find my favorite images from Jhalia’s session below. Enjoy!
