Haley chose to be photographed at a local nature center, and we were lucky enough to schedule her portraits during the peak of wildflower season! I love the splashes of yellow that these wildflowers provided. We actually had a rather cloudy day with some sunlight peaking through, so when the sun was hiding I added a bit more light and warmth in Photoshop as I was editing. I also brought an off-camera flash to her session to add sunlight where there was none — but if you look at these photos and can’t tell which ones had artificial light and which ones were purely natural light, then I’ve done my job well! I always try to balance lighting when I bring flash outdoors so that you can’t tell the difference. We also squeezed in a few soccer portraits – nothing extreme, but enough to spotlight her passion for the sport!
