Campbellsport Senior ~ Taylin
I have had the pleasure of working with Taylin’s family for a few years now — which all started when I did her older sister Tristin’s senior portraits! I absolutely love working with this family! They are always a blast and we have so much fun at their portrait sessions. Read on to learn a little bit more about Taylin and how her session went.
What extracurricular activities are you involved in? What about any interests? Varsity dance team, studio dance (ballet, tap, jazz, pointe, hip hop, modern, contemporary), I love to read, involved in a few clubs at school, assistant coach/teacher for shining stars dance team.
What kind of look were you going for in the shoot? I was going for a natural look with a splash of vintage .
How many outfits did you bring and was it enough? Was it too much? Anything you’d change? 3 dance outfits, 8/9 regular outfits, prom dress, I’d say it was maybe a couple too many but it worked out great.
How did you choose to accessorize your outfits? I like the more simple look so I didn’t use many accessories, just earring and a necklace in a few pictures.
Did you bring any props? If so, what were they and why did you decide to bring it? Yes, I brought my pointe shoes and tap shoes because dance is such a large part of my life.
How would you advise someone else to prepare for a senior photo session? Make sure to have your outfits picked out before hand and know what you are doing for hair and makeup. Don’t go overboard, Let the true you shine!
What was your biggest fear or worry about the photo shoot? What was the outcome? Going into my session, I didn’t really have any fears, Kara did my sisters pictures a few years ago and I loved how hers turned out so I didn’t worry.
Where did we do your session? Did you like the location? We stayed in downtown Waukesha for my session, I loved how many options there were just within a few blocks of each other that gave each picture a different look.
What are your plans for after high school graduation? I plan to go to college hopefully UW La Crosse, but I am undecided on what I want to major in.
